CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUE OF ROCHESTER
THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUE OF ROCHESTER will attempt to maintain a pleasant environment for all players and members, but are not responsible for the conduct of any one player.
We have established a code of conduct, poker etiquette,and basic rules for all games and events. Failure to follow the code of conduct WILL deny you participation into our events.
Players are expected to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner at all times.
The goal of THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUEOF ROCHESTER is to manage a poker league and entertain its players.
Players should keep that in mind as we truly encourage proper poker strategies to be used by participants, we do not condone or promote verbal deception or aggression tactics by any player whatsoever.
In the end, players have the right to play their cards as they wish, as long as it does not impede the proper flow of the event or create a conflict between other players in the game or with the relationship between the venue and THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUE OF ROCHESTER.
By participating in THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUE OF ROCHESTER hosted events, all players agree to abide by the following rules.
Live events hosted at bars on our schedule are open to the public.
Failure to abide by the rules WILL result in a permanent ban at the discretion of THE TEXAS HOLDEM LEAGUE OF ROCHESTER management.
CONDUCT CODE
The following is not permitted: Collusion with another player or any other form of cheating.
Verbally or physically threatening or assaulting any patron, tournament director, or venue employee.
Creating a disturbance by arguing, shouting, or making excessive unnecessary noise.
Throwing, tearing, bending, or crumpling cards, chips, or other event related equipment. Destroying or defacing property.
Bringing in outside food or beverage to any venue
Violating any local or state laws.
POKER and TABLE ETIQUETTE
The following is expected of our players at each event:
Be at the table to deal when it is your turn.
If a player is not seated or touching theirseat when the second card is dealt to the dealer the hand is dead and any blinds will be forfeited into the pot.
Phones are not permitted once a hand begins to be dealt. The only players allowed phone use are tournament directors doing FPN tournament work (example: eliminating players/adding players to FPN).
GOING FORWARD PLAYING IN FPN EVENTS WILL NO
LONGER BE ALLOWED. PLAY IN THE IN-PERSON TOURNAMENT OR ONLINE BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME.
IF A PLAYER IS DOING TOURNAMENT WORK (HANDLING CPU KNOCKOUTS...ETC...) THEIR HAND IS NOT MUCKED.
PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY THEIR HAND UNLESS THEY EXPRESS THAT THEY ARE OUT OF THE HAND.
Clearly communicate your betting actions to the table to remove confusion.
• Place your large denominated chips in front of your chip stacks for players to view. The following table actions are improper, and grounds for warning, removal, or suspension: Deliberately acting out of turn. Deliberately splashing chips into the pot. Verbally agreeing to check a hand down when a third
player is all-in (this is a form of collusion). Revealing the contents of a folded hand before the betting is complete. Do not divulge contents of a hand during a deal, even to someone not in the pot, so you do not leave any possibility of the information being transmitted to an active player.
Needlessly stalling the action of a game. Stacking chips in a manner that interferes with dealing or viewing cards. Making statements or taking action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot. Rabbit Hunting, aka "running it out"
, once a
hand is completed is NEVER ALLOWED....EVER!
Berating or harassing a player based on their playing style or the luck of the cards IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AND WILL BE DEALT WITH BY EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE PERMANENTLY,.
The following is expected of our players to help protect the integrity of the event and keep free poker entertaining and enjoyable:
Report suspicious activity at the table or suspected cheating to the tournament director Announcing irregularities in the action
Making new players feel welcome
Helping educate new players on basic rules in a polite and friendly manner.
We appreciate our players and we understand that in any competition there may be a conflict with another player but if we can create an atmosphere where this can be avoided it will only help the league in the long term.
All players are expected to act professional and courteous at all times,under all circumstances.
If you as a player agree to these terms please sign and date below. Any suggestions to the code of conduct are welcome and will be considered for addition.
